Fair, Safe, Green and Fun: Sri Toys.

Recently we were sent a lovely wooden toy from Sri Toys to test out. Sri Toys sell a wide selection of toys made from natural, sustainable and biodegradable rubber wood. Furthermore the products are sourced from sustainable rubber wood and each product is handmade.

I think what I love most about these products is the fact that they're made from trees in Sri Lanka that would normally be burnt once they stop producing latex effectively. I think this is key, because they aren't carelessly chopping trees down, they're actually recycling trees that would otherwise be destroyed.

The packaging is mostly cardboard and recyclable, and I think the quality of the toy is fantastic. I have to admit, I think wooden toys are so much nicer than plastic ones, they just have that extra luxurious feel to them.

The box was emptied out and this is when the fun began! Molly was on her own at first, piecing it together and I will say I believe it was quite challenging. Even when George joined her, the activity wasn't complete in super fast time, the puzzle challenged their minds and their co-operation! Even when Warren returned from work and the puzzle was scattered about after a lengthy play session, he too found it challenging to piece together, but he did it in record time!

Sri Toys are focused on developing hand-eye coordination, fine and gross motor skills, independent or cooperative play, role play and learning. We received a wooden tree with animals and as soon as we opened it both children were fascinated.

Once the tree was complete they began playing with the little figures, using voices and creating a little game together. After a while they discovered they could stand the tree up! This was very exciting for them (and me!), it looked amazing and required even more patience to piece it together in this way.

We love Sri Toys, their ethics are spot on and their products are simply gorgeous. Do you have any of their toys? What are your thoughts?

Disclosure: I received this toy in exchange for review. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.
