Rainbow Toy Award Review: Shrinkles!

We were so happy to have been chosen to be part of the Rainbow Toy Awards again this year, it's such an exciting opportunity and we love testing out all their wonderful toys. This year we have started out by testing Shrinkles, a fabulously inventive and fun version of Shrinkies.




We love Shrinkies anyway, but I loved the idea of pre-prepared pictures and accessories. Sometimes it's wasy to get a little lost when faced with a blank page, but Shrinkles help you out with themed boxes. We received Unicorns, Dinosaurs and Puppies.

 

They came with so many cute accessories, from rings to keyrings and more, we were pretty spoilt for choice deciding what to make.

 

The instructions were pictures only, which at first, was a little confusing. When we finaly clicked, it was easy to follow. You colour in on the rough side of the paper and then you cut out the shape. When you've decided what to make you can choose to hole punch (think keyrings or necklaces) the piece before you pop it in the oven.

Then pop it into a pre-heated oven and watch the magic happen. I couldn't photograph this part as our light in our oven doesn't work, but you can see from the photographs how the oven shrinks and changes the art work...

We loved using Shrinkles and I can't wait to get stuck in again soon and make some more lovely gifts!
