Review: Hape’s George Luck Artic Animals...

DSC_0661Molly has always shown an interest in puzzles, so when we were offered the chance to review Hape's George Luck Arctic Animals Puzzle, we just couldn't resist! It's a wooden puzzle wth two different layers, both full of vibrant colours and interesting animals.

It arrived in simple yet sturdy packaging and it was very easy to unpack. On the back of the packaging it shows you the two puzzles, but the third image was a little confusing and made us think there was a third puzzle, but there isn't. I was so impressed by the quality of this product, it just felt and looked lovely. I think wooden toys are often the best kind; they're charming and classic, and I think it would make the perfect gift for the child who loves to figure puzzles out.

We carefully tipped all the pieces onto the table and Molly went for it! It's aimed at ages 5 years and above, and I will admit I thought Molly would find it really easy and it would be completed in a flash. Instead, the intricate and unusual pieces challenged her and she sat at the table fully immersed in finishing the puzzle all by herself.

It was pretty cute to watch because she had a very serious expression as she worked away at it, testing each piece, and even when she struggled she didn't give up, she just kept going.

Molly says she really loves it, and she keeps going back to it to do it all over again! George admitted it looked very easy but it was actually really hard, especially the top puzzle. I can see this being the kind of educational toy that is constantly out on display, because not only is it engaging and interesting, it also looks really beautiful.

You can buy this wonderful puzzle from Debenhams for £13.00 and I can promise you it's worth every penny!

Disclosure: I received this in exchange for review. All opinions are 100% honest and my own.
