#EnjoyMoreWater Challenge

Summertime is fast approaching and it's always a worry when it comes to keeping the kids hydrated. Luckily, Robinsons have the perfect solution for keeping kids topped up with their water intake in the form of Squash'd. They come in a variety of flavours and one squeeze is all it takes to transform water into a flavour explosion.

These handy flavourings come in 66ml sized tubs with the guidelines, 'Flip, squeeze, click, shut, enjoy!' printed on the side. Only one squeeze is all you need, meaning these little tubs last a very long time. They are 'high concentrated low calorie' drinks made with real juice, naturally occurring sugar and not an artificial colour in sight. They are so small you can carry them in your bag or pocket, just in case you need to spice up some water for your little ones.

Molly has always been a keen water drinker, so we've never really had issues with her water intake. However, George is quite the opposite, he describes water as 'boring' and it is a huge challenge to get him to drink it. I've tried flavouring it with fruit, buying sparkling water and giving in to juice or large bottles of squash that don't seem to last very long at all. This can be expensive and not very easy to carry around when out and about.

Well, I can honestly say, I felt sceptical about Squash'd, because we've tried so many other things, but as soon as we flicked the lid open and tried the orange and peach flavour, he was hooked. We were really lucky to be sent a selection of flavours plus a fruity sticker chart to keep track of how much water the children were drinking each day. They adored making the drinks themselves (with one squeeze!) and adding stickers to the chart.

As you might already know, we went to Barcelona last week, and thanks to the awesome Squash'd we were able to take one flavour with us to use throughout the week. It's an acceptable size for hand luggage so we even used it on the aeroplane to add to a bottle of water. Once in Barcelona, Warren and I drank water, we could add a squeeze to a small bottle of water for George (and Molly if she fancied it) and hey-presto, he was hydrated each day we spent in the sunshine!

I really think the key for our children was to let them take the lead with their drinking, using Squash'd and taking part in the whole process of preparing the drink. This, followed by a sticker chart, meant both children were fully hydrated whilst in a new, high temperature environment.

It meant we could relax and not worry ourselves with how much water George was consuming, which meant a more enjoyable holiday for all!
